This bee, Gummy Bee, Tabby Bee, Puppy Bee, Festive Bee, Windy Bee, and Digital Bee are the only bees that can be a First Edition Bee. Before the 11/25/2018 update, Bear Bee's Gifted Hive Bonus was +20% White Pollen. It was later changed to +40% White Pollen and then to +5% Pollen. The current Gifted Hive Bonus is +10% Pollen.
The Mutation page doesn't say that, so I think mutated bees that become gifted won't lose their mutation. Nope, my vicious bee had a mutation when I gifted it and it still has the mutation. That calculation is solely based on probability. (1-1/100)^n are the odds of not getting a successful mutation after n attempts. You subtract that from 1 to show the odds of getting a successful mutation. I only calculated in multiples of 50 as that's what most people do to feed their bees. That said, you are right. Yes you can change it by continue to give it bitterberries (or autojelly/atomic treat). Every time is totally random thou so it can be better or worse and whatever type.
