Android not showing voicemail notification.

Got a voicemail earlier today and now the notification won't go away. I've listened to the voicemail and deleted it. I deleted it from the deleted folder, cleared the phone app cache and restarted my phone. I also completely reinstalled the phone app. None of these worked. From my brief googling, this seems like it's been an issue for years...I had the same issue. You will have to change your phone notification settings.
