2008 CTS, Timing Chain Issue. I have a 2008 CTS, purchased used. Had it 5 years, has 74,000 mi. This summer the check engine light came on, my regular mechanic advised P008 for timing chain. Now, I know this has been an issue, so much so, that Cadillac extended the warranty on that to 10 years, and I got a letter in the mail.

I had an '08 CTS-4 Premium Sedan with the larger, panoramic sunroof and there were no problems for 29,000 miles and I just traded it for a 2013 CTS Premium Coupe at the end of August 2013.
