Make a propstick out of 1 1/4 PVC or 1 1/2-whatever size your rod holder is. Then, notch out the PVC where the bar in the bottom of our rod holder is. Then, tie a small rope to your bow rail or console because if something gets hung up on the line, it will break your propstick right in half.The lead holds everything together. If the lead breaks - you lose the fish. Pure lead is also more dense then alloy. You would be amazed if you took a small scale and weighed various 8 oz sinkers. Yes, I have two 7500SS on custom rods with 80 lbs. spider wire. I assume the BFT is blackfin, not bluefin. I've caught a number of yellowfin (40 lb. class on the 7500SS). First run is impressive, but usually only around 100 yards.
