ArchiCAD's only advantage used to be it's cost. It was cheaper than Revit, so all the smaller companies bought it. Smaller companies like Mum and Pop Architect firms that do cute houses and the odd medium sized commercial/retail project. Nowadays ArchiCAD has increased in price and is nearly as much as Revit. Move the previous level to where you need it, then hide that level reference in all views. I have serious issue with Autodesk's subscription model, which uses an abstract credit system to gouge customers, and at the end of the day purposefully obfuscates their customer's data into unreadable .rvt files. There are no serious competitors to Revit. The closest alternatives are SketchUp and Rhino3D.
