Dw about it, it’s all about accuracy by volume lol. The only schools I knew anything about, let alone liked, was MIT and Stanford. All my other schools I just cross referenced highest ranking generally and highest ranking CS and went down the list. Pton so happened to be number 3. Smart-Dottie.
FAFSA EFC is completely irrelevant only the school EFC matters. e.g. Yale only matched to 0 EFC but for Yale, anyone w/ an income <$75k has an EFC of 0. EFC also varies by school. I questbridge regular decisioned to 13 schools, and was rejected from 11 and waitlisted at 2. I sincerely regret using my questbridge application, because honestly it was just really bad. However, if it weren’t for questbridge I definitely wouldn’t have even applied to these schools. Don’t feel like you are restricted to anything.

First of all, while being very low income does help your application a lot, it's not technically necessary. I've heard of kids with family incomes of over $200k a year getting matched. You'd have to have an outstanding application otherwise, but it's possible. Secondly, assets aren't as big of a deal as income in my experience.Got into Vassar and Grinnell with nearly full aid.
