He is tremendously thoughtful about historical method and narrative, and his knowledge and expertise range across many regions and subfields. He is kind, caring, and attentive to students as individuals. Professor Stewart totally changed my mind about my interest in CCJ and the legal field as a profession. He had a lot of content in his class (which I took online in an abbreviated 4-week course, rather than the regular 10-week term), but you can tell he worked harder than any of the students to make sure we were supported.
