About 100,000 new students join each year. It generally costs $90 to join unless there is a hardship. Partial fee waivers are also available. While the National Society of High School Scholars is far from being a scam, many people believe otherwise. This is especially true since the organization sends invitations to a lot of high school students, most of which do not apply to be invited.
