May 14, 2018 · 4250 a.c. pressures. I replaced compressor, drier and expansion valve in my new tractor due to the compressor leaking ibn the center of the body. Didn't fail so there wasn't any debris in it. I have the recommended 8 oz of oil in it. But my low side gauge won't come down below 45. It's been staying up around 70-80. 4250 transmission problem. I have a 4250 that seemed to be jumping out of gear when backing up hill. All of the 15 forward gears worked fine. One mechanic suggested it might be a blown gasket in the control valve housing. I replaced all O rings and gaskets in that and modulating valve. It didn't change anything.I have a friend with a JD 425 with the Kawasaki FD 620D model engine. He has problems with the left (sitting on tractor) cylinder not running right. Does not seem to be burning fuel properly. Listed below are things he has done. Replaced left coil pack and spark plug.
