You easily brute force your way through a regular blight map but I think it's impossible to get 100% completion rate with ravage maps, regardless of any annoints you do to make it easier. Bad RNG like tower points spawning far away from your pump can easily let in a uber tanky boss cause tower only work when within a distance from your character.RAll of the blight scarabs are useful, but the higher tier ones guarantee bosses I think. So I'd only use if you felt you had the damage to down them fast enough. Also don't sleep on your ring anoints, the combo of level 3 ice tower with lvl 3 seismic tower perma stuns everything when they're in the range of a tier 3 empowering tower.
