Atlanta is ranked 4th, Austin 14th in the US. I live in Austin. Traffic is terrible and it is much worse than you would think from the size of the metro area. I drive for Uber and out of town visitors are often horrified at the traffic. I've haven't been to Atlanta to compare but I trust the statistics from the website and say Atlanta is worse.

Atlanta is not like gulf coast cities, southeast atlantic coastal or north Florida weather. These places are like 10-12 degree difference in winter temps, where somewhere like Hampton Roads or Richmond are only about 4-5 degrees difference on average despite being over twice as north as the other places are south.
