They actually wrote on the service invoice that the "p/s pump louder than normal due to internal failure. Replaced pump and not quieter."Its a function of the CVT. You accelerate hard, it revs up high until you back off the throttle. Contrary to what non87 says, the car does not shift. Even if you put it in Sport mode, where it mimics a 6 speed auto, it still isn't actually shifting.
