I guess this is to prevent you from locking the yourself out of the car, but it's a bass-ackwards implementation that ends up malfunctioning half of the time.The rapid beeps mean it's not going to auto-lock, and I have found a few of the ways this happens. 1 - Walking rapidly away from the vehicle. 2 - There's no remote in the vicinity.
