All the probable transmission problems such as ATF, SWITCH SOLENOID have been checked and certified ok except the TRANSMISSION PRESSURE PUMP that have not been touched. Everthing seemed to be fine, but now, occasionally, the drive indicator "D" begins flashing while driving. According to the manual, this indicatates a "possible" problem with the transmission. I checked the fluid level and added about 4 oz, but the problem contines. It seems to only happen when the ac is running.

I’ve also noticed the car idles roughly and shifts from park to drive very hard. Flashing D came on 2 days ago while driving my Element and stayed on even in park. I noticed car felt kind of sluggish and like it was lagging, Honda dealer said it may be a transmission sensor; advised to bring in Monday when shop is open. Made one stop and re-started car. D light no longer flashing at this point.

Jul 8, 2020 · road2cycle. On the first gen Pilot the flashing D is normally resolved with replacing the third and/or fourth gear pressure switch. The code reader tells you which one (s) failed. If you DIY personally I would just replace both since it takes longer to get the front end jacked up compared to the time it takes to replace the switches. Jun 28, 2022 ...
