Jun 12, 2016 · I tried obxcrosstrek's method and it doesn't work. Maybe it's because my fobs are keyless start. What I found to work is to lock all doors with the inside lock button. Manually unlock the drivers door. Detach fob from valet key and put the fob in the center console. Close the drivers door and lock it from the outside with the valet key. There is no "walk away auto lock." In the menu, HID display, there is an option of auto lock (30seconds, 60, 90) but it only applies when the doors do not open. This sucks cause my 13' Civic had this feature. Cant believe after all these years, the software is still the same. CRV cant even read my texts on my iphone 5.I have a 2024 Limited and it is the first car I've owned with push button starting. I've used a lock box to keep my ignition key secure, while in the water. Most thieves will pass this up for an easier target. My new "push button start" car "might" be able to be started with key in lock box.
