As such, I'm trying to evaluate the different brokers which provide official APIs for trading. The two main ones I've come across are TD Ameritrade and Interactive Brokers. I wanted to summarize what I've found here and see whether you could point out anything that I've missed, be that pros or cons of TDA/IBKR or other options I'm not considering.

TOS definitely has tons of lag. There platform is built on top of TD Ameritrade’s platform. No direct access to exchanges. Have IB and Fidelity. My experience has been faster execution and better prices with Fidelity. Thank you for your feedback, will check out Fidelity too.
