The old version dropped my fps from 60 to 15 (on an AMD Vega64@2560x1080), with the latest (0.14) fps stay at 60 and I can even enable some additional filters in Gshade (FXAA, some color correction, MXAO, Luma sharpen). The global illumination effect is subtle in dimly to normally lit areas, such as the Ul'dah Aetheryte Plaza or the Hall of Flames.
