Hello, I've played FFXIV 2 days ago with no problems. Today I launched the game, no sound. Restarted, no sound I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, still no sound. Whats weird is the game shows up in the task manager, has normal CPU and GPU usage, but doesnt show up in windows volume mixer or anything audio related.Only a few are voiced. What Seraphna said; it caught me off guard at first when it alternates from voiced to non-voiced lines. As you move up further into the content, more and more cutscenes will feature voice acting. I had the severe stuttering issue with my sound. Switching from DX11 -> DX9 (as recommended in the SE thread) did solve the issue for me. You can change the setting in the Launcher window from the Gear Icon.The 44.1 Mhz sound change did not help.Once I changed the setting to Stereo I could actually hear the voices that must have been being sent through a channel without a speaker (My sound card does support a 7.1 setup).
