I made reservations in advance of the cruise for a different venue each night (each of the four main dining rooms plus three of the specialty restaurants). All of my reservations were for a table for two.

One person can be on balcony without a/c closing in the room. Another option for a traditional balcony is an aft balcony. So much better then the infinite balcony IMO.
