My favorite Pyro loadout is the stock flamethrower, reserve shooter, powerjack. The reserve shooter is mainly for weapon switching without losing damage on your flamethrower. The phlog is a terrible weapon that gets you destroyed at higher levels of play, encourages stupid play, and rewards idiots.

My favourite is backburner, shotgun, powerjack. Use the speed to get behind enemy lines, backburner for the crits and shotgun if you come across a pyro. Shotgun will always be best secondary though. Its just beautiful.

So think how did the ppl of tf2 from 2007 played as pyro? And note that before tf2, Team Fortress Classic had a Lousy flamethrower that is damn slow and the fire looks like ♥♥♥♥! Note: It doesn't have the airblast too! But, trust me! There's a solution! There, half of the team is gone. Best Pyro secondaries (Not "Best" Best, but "Best for the sanity of your teammates") are Detonator, Flare Gun, and Thermal Thruster. Scorch Shot isn't recommended 'cause it can screw your team's aim. Detonator and Thruster helps with extra mobility, and Flare Gun does critical hits if the robots are on fire.
