that doesn't work, as it doesn't do a true distinct count because the user could have ordered two days previously or three years previously, and would still show up as a unique user as the time range isn't constricted. This works great on the splunk interface, but when I generate a report to be sent to an email, with the inline results, the users show on single line. In the splunk search, the table is neat, with the users on a new line.

So a little more explanation now that I'm not on my phone. The search creates a field called nodiff that is true if there isnt a difference in the count of sources between indexes, or false if there is a difference. The dedups speed up the stats distinct count functions but are not required. Remove the final table to see the rest of the fields.
