There's no way you'd be able to run low power rounds through the suppressor plug unsuppressed, though, no matter how broken in the gun is. The hole sizes on each plug just don't overlap enough. Mine has been 100% reliable and shoots 1 to 2 MOA with most ammo. If you don't have a good ar15 the sabre 15 might be a better choice because everyone needs a solid AR15 and it is more modular and has more options to customize to you liking. I'd personally do a jakl already have ars. It really depends on a lot of things.
