Harris is the way to go if you do not want it to bend, but the 795 is not a real heavyweight so maybe not an issue. This can not be converted without major machining. This is a newer model 60. the 2 holes in the top are for the 70 mag guide. As long as your rifle has the holes in the lower receiver plates to accept the mag guide then proceed. Now the parts needed-.The stock for the 70PSS is a black, fiberglass filled, synthetic stock. Magazine options include a 7-round and 10-round factory magazines. Also, since the 70P utilizes the same magazine as the Marlin 795, there are high capacity, aftermarket magazines available for them.
