Litter robot replace pinch sensor.
It turned out that the DFI and pinch sensors required replacement. My litter robot was out of warranty, but they sent me a free sensor replacement kit so I could replace it myself. To have them repair it, you would have to send it in and it would cost almost $200 if you don’t have a warranty anymore.
Take the screws out of the bottom of the base. Unplug the wire from each pinch bar and remove the bars from the plastic slots. Now take some pliers, tin snips, or whatever you have laying around and cut a clean, non-corroded piece of the pinch bar off so you have a small piece of metal. If the problem is the weight, try disassemble the feet, clean everything and reassemble (also you can adjust the sesitivity by screwing more or less the bolt).
