I didn't want a basic Springfield and wanted a forged reciever, completely unaware that LRB was a thing at that time. That said, an AR180 is on the banned list but an AR180B is legal.... same would apply to anything different than M14 (including “M14F”). Quote.

Don't know specifically about a completed JRA M14 rifle, but I have used a number of JRA / Bula receivers in builds and have had excellent results. That being said, I have a regular JRA M14 and I wouldn't trade it for one of the welded ones. I think the real M14 heal is cool for a collector, but as a shooter I like the solid, one piece forging of my receiver. I have no data on the welded M14 receivers, so they may prove to be just as reliable as mine. I just prefer to eliminate variables.

I just received my JRA this past Wednesday. The only magazine that locked into placed without forcing it was the one included with my M14.
